I see on the3towns facebook page that Labour have picked Joe Cullinane to stand for them in the Cunninghame South constituency against Margaret Burgess of the SNP.
Margaret Burgess seems to me to be a hard working MSP and that's what local people need. Not someone like Joe Cullinane who has hardly been a councillor for 5 minutes but now wants to be a MSP. Is that the career path Joe? have you ever had a real job?
Have Labour picked their candidate for Cunninghame North against Kenneth Gibson of the SNP? If Scotland votes for independence and Labour MP Katy Clark is out of a job maybe she will stand for the Scottish Parliament. That would be an interesting election!

"Margaret Burgess seems to me to be a hard working MSP and that's what local people need." Agree Never having a real job is a fundamental qualification for a Labour Councillor or Prospective candidate, Cullinane is the promoter of the various Labour party propaganda Like the last Clark briefing for the serfs...aye right never worked!! I am,of course, being sarcastic ,but not wrong
"If Scotland votes for independence and Labour MP Katy Clark is out of a job maybe she will stand for the Scottish Parliament." Don't see that , a bit of Umble Pie would be required or "I was just following orders" statement . That would be If she didn't come out with the phrase "I support LFI" assuming she stayed within Labour It's 100 days to go , I would think if someone is about to take a leap, it would be between now and around 70 or 60 days ,any nearer and they look like they are desperately trying to hold on to something Labour picking or selection process? I again assume that'll be a load of old boring unionists A radical thought for any any candidate would be to stand on an Independent platform ....ie Independent Labour/Conservative/Liberal Democrat ( I have reservations about anyone going that route as it require a bit more courage)
