"Katy Clark said, “I am appalled that the DWP have made changes to the appeals process, which rather than deliver quick decisions has created greater delays. “Many constituents have approached me, including some who have been left with no money for months on end. This can’t be allowed to continue.” It will as long as we remain within the power of Westminster, the Labour party has made no commitment to change any of the current DWP procedures, that is of course assuming they would stick to their promises. I point out that their track record is none too inspiring on that front, they aren't too inspiring in the the maths department either If a change was on the boards, and that is a really big if , where would the funding come from? I'd hazard a guess at the Pension fund and or cuts to the Pensioners ( an easy target yet again) Wonder what happened to all the money within that fund ? OH Gordon raided it

Good point Dirth. I think Katy Clark is a good MP but she does have to explain how she would end the things she complains about the Tories doing if the people of England continue to vote Tory or even UKIP. She should support an independent Scotland where her party would form the government when the SNP wasn't the government. I don't think there would be any chance of the Tories forming the government in an independent Scotland. Katy should be supporting independence if she really wants to stop the Tories.

They are so wrapped up in hate, hate all things SNP,the problem is, they are now the problem , not the SNP. They fall into the same category as the No's "It's the SNP's fault"....When it isn't ,Are they really that dense?..OK some really are! Why does Central Ayrshire spring to mind?? I firmly believe that a Labour government at Westminster will exactly the same as a Tory one, with the exception that Labour will waste far more money than the Tories. To an extent Osbourne is correct ,in that the Eton Boys were left with the debt , the debt accrued by Labour under Brown and Blair grew colossally when they took office the debt was 1997/98 – £352 bn 2007/08 – £527 bn exiting at 2010/11 – £902 bn, they trebled it in 13 years,,, and the Tories saw that as a challenge now it’s 17 trillion And according to Centre for Policy Studies both these bunch of lunatics have the same policies, the same ideas. That doesn’t bode well for any kind of future for Scotland within the UK If Ms Clark is so locked into the Better Together mindset , then she fails to be any kind of solution , she is part of the problem. I fail to see why Ms Clark continues along this flawed route of Unionism, after the remark by the two Tory leaders the Blue and the Red ones over football. Does Ms Clark not see the contempt she and all Scottish MPs are held. What Miliband also confirmed with that simple statement was Britain equals England and visa versa in the rest of the UK They, the Labour MPs, are there for voting for the party absolutely nothing else.

Katy Clark has just Tweeted this - "Just spoken in Passport debate highlighting the impact which staff cuts, office closures and reorganisation have had on Passport crisis".
Aye but we're Better Together Katy. The UK does things better than poor wee stupid Scotland ever could. That's why you are voting No in the referendum and why you're telling us we should do the same. So that we can keep being governed by Westminster and their wonderful departments, like the passport office.
